Dragonfly Blu was established in 1999, by Lisa Mikulski, a designer, writer, and photographer working to promote art, design, and culture. Since that time, Lisa has assisted her clients in setting up online identities, networking through social media, and has created marketing and promotional materials for artists, galleries, and arts organizations.

Having resided in Sweden for four and a half years, returning home to Boston in early 2017, Dragonfly Blu is now relaunched with a renewed vision for promoting the arts, artists, and enlightening community to the benefits of visual works and creative thinking.

Lisa is also an artist in her own right when in January 2011 she set her sights on photography. Her photographs have been published in print and online, in the US and Europe. Her photographic work was represented by Ventucci Fine Art. In Europe, her words and images appeared in Nordstjernan, Sweden.se, Göteborg Daily, Sleeklens, Spoon – Content Management, and Polar Fish Publishing. Lisa has sat as a Board Member of AIGA Connecticut, the professional association for design, from 2009 – 2012 where she served as Director of Communications and Public Relations.

Writing for the arts, Lisa has been a regular feature writer for Artscope Magazine and most recently joined the team at Take Magazine. She has twice held the position of Gallery Director in Connecticut where her roles included gallery management, public relations, art selection and sales, exhibitions, installations, and all graphic design and marketing services.

Whether writing for online media, traditional marketing, public relations, or print publication, Lisa’s ability to communicate brings a strong skill set for providing her clients with a voice that gets their messages heard.

She received her education in liberal arts at Middlesex Community College, Middletown, CT and in art history at Trinity College in Hartford CT. Receiving highest honors, Lisa was the recipient of the Baird Fellowship at Trinity which allowed her to study art and architecture in Paris, France.
